Easy to sum up. Waitress was a total 10…attractive, courteous, talkative, intelligent, all smiles toward everyone. Food prices are very low, food quality probably better than average, however indoor smoking is a problem for non-smokers. This is because most people are there specifically to smoke. The air is 100% smoke. WARNING: you can’t get away from the smoke by sitting on sidewalk table area because this establishment attracts chain smokers from a 50 mile area. This place is nothing like sitting in a restaurant smoking area 10 yrs ago, the smoke is THICK to the point of CHOKING. If you don’t smoke, go elsewhere. If you must smoke, you should try this place.

Cheap and delicious. Food is so good and so cheap. Waitresses are really friendly.

Excuse’s-love it!. Excuses is another South Side place that has been around for quite a while. My favorite meal here is their fish sandwich. I used to love to go here with my dad for lunch on Fridays. We would have a beer and a fish. Now, I mostly do take out once in a while. The fish is typical bar fare but I love it. It’s huge! Excuses is nothing fancy, but service was always good and friendly. The price was decent as well.
