I write this review very reluctantly! My family and a friend went to La Palapa about 10 days ago. My son (8 yrs old) proceeded to order from the kids menu – chicken quesadilla but with the chicken on the side. He liked the quesadilla enough and was hungry enough to order the same dish twice. Anyway he did not touch his chicken and only ate the cheese quesadilla and other things on the plate. We took the chicken to go since he expressed an interest in eating it the next day. So the next day, we take the chicken out of the fridge and I dump it directly into a fresh out of the dishwasher plate to heat up for my son’s lunch and what I see in the chicken at first glance looks like a long hair. On closer inspection, it is a large bug that had gotten very comfortable in the chicken! Obviously the food went into the garbage. I then wrote to La Palapa through their website and provided my email and phone number so they could connect with me and I could tell them in person how we found the bug in my son’s food. I figured waiting a week or slightly more would be appropriate for La Palapa to reach out and tell us what they thought might have happened. While stuff happens, It is nice to know that the restaurant cares about the food they serve. This was definitely not the case in our experience given that LaPalapa has not responded to my 3 attempts to contact them for 10 days!
