We only got drinks but….. The atmosphere was pretty cool and the drinks were perfect. I am a snob about my vodka and cranberry and I demand that it is just so. The bartender took my request with a smile and delivered on every point. great music too. I will definitely go back.
Don’t go for sushi night!. Lava Lounge advertises a $3 sushi roll night. Although we should have realized that no good sushi is that cheap, we decided to try it out anyways. The sushi was pre-rolled and kept out, behind the bar. It tasted terrible.Lava Lounge has a cool atmosphere and is probably a really nice bar, but it is not a restaurant!
Not a restaurant in a full sense…. …but they have nightly food specials. Last night for the It’s Alive! Show New Years Party they had wings… real ones & seitan (sp?) ones for the vegetarian crowd.The decor is killer in there… it’s cave-looking and even steampunk-ish… Juts a-typical all around. It’s a really cool atmosphere, and we will be back. I think Mondays is meatball subs, Tuesdays are taco nights, etc.My favorite thing? They had Straub Special Dark on tap… which is rapidly becoming my new favorite beer. I’ll definitely be checking out more shows & food here.
