We were just walking around looking for a local place to have some lunch and came across Nadine’s. It’s just a little hole in the wall diner. Great home cooked food, friendly staff, and very low cost. Would definitely recommend. Don’t pass this place by.
Pittsburgh Gem. Simple, home cooked comfort food, well priced menu, good service, no frills, homey, and full bar. Patrons are all friends and friendly to all.
Still Delicious…. We lived here on the SouthSide a few years ago and heard about Nadine’s from Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives. We were hooked on the Fried Bologna Sandwich. We would walk to the movies early enough to stop in at Nadine’s before the movie started. I feel like I walked off all the calories so indulge!! Awesome sandwich and fries or onion rings. We are back in town for a few weeks so I will be there very frequently! Nadine’s is mostly know for the roast beef sandwich though so try that too.
I had the roast beef sandwich with gravy. The beef was tough with a burnt flavor. The gravy tastes like the gravy you get out of a jar. I’ll never go back.
Guy Fieri steered me wrong :-(. I was excited to eat here after seeing it on TV, on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Guy Fieri steered me wrong on this place. I was ok with the locally owned grungy old bar feel but the food was not special. The menu does not have anything special or unique on it. There are countless pubs and bars that have food like this in Pittsburgh (I even refer to it as Pittsburgh food it’s so common). The atmosphere is weak, but i can forgive that. What is unforgivable is the smoking. Overall I was just really disappointed and I have no plans to return.
Food was great, bartender/server very interactive with customers, food was good. Took to long to recieve food (the Resturant was not busy to justify the wait). Smokers are allowed to smoke – my family and I are non-smokers. For this reason (smoking) I would not return or reccomend.
