Affordable and lots of healthy choices. Anytime I’m near South Side Works, I like to stop at Pita Pit for a fresh, affordable, and healthy meal. Every time I’ve been there, the veggie toppings (all easily visible to the customer) all look and taste fresh. As another reviewer mentioned, it’s not like everything is universally healthy here, but I do give them credit for posting all nutrition information next to the register (and on their website) to facilitate choosing healthy options. I tend to order the garden veggie pita with lots of veggies and extra tzatziki. I also really like the chicken souvlaki pita. The breakfast pitas, stuffed with eggs, hash browns, cheese, and grilled onions and peppers are very good (if not the most healthy options in the world). At any rate, I definitely recommend the Pita Pit at South Side Works!
I disagree with food dude. The pita pit’s food is always delicious. They’re always true to the delivery time frame. It just depends on where you’re located. If you’re far away, then yes, it will take longer. I love pita pit!
Soggy delivery food. If you like soggy lettuce and long delivery time, call Pita Pit in the south side, Mediocre at best.
Tasty!. I love steak pitas. I’ve been making them at home for years with steak-umms & pita pockets, but mine aren’t nearly as awesome as the Pita Pit’s. They’re quick, and they have a huge variety of stuff… It’s served up just like you’re at a Quizno’s or Qdoba. You just keep telling ’em what you want along each step of the way.If there was one of these closer to where I work, I’d be hitting it up for lunch all the time!
Fresh, Clean, Healthy. The portions are generous here. You could eat one half for lunch and the other for dinner. You can even ‘invent’ your own pita wrap by customizing the ingredients and their amounts. Vegetarian? No problem! If animals taste good to you (they do to me) then you can choose beef, chicken, turkey, gyro meat. You can get a middle eastern favorite here – falafel, a meat substitute made with chick peas. There is plenty to drink here, too. Fountain drinks are available but you can buy bottled water and fruit juices if you prefer. You have to try this place.
