Great Food, Great Atmosphere. I’ve always loved to go to Ruggers for a few drinks, but recently I’ve been stopping in for lunch. The build your own burgers are absolutely delicious and my vegan boyfriend tried out the seitan cheesesteak and fell in love. Whether you’re looking for a great bar for a quick drink or some amazing food, Ruggers is definitely a hidden gem in the South Side.

Smokey the bear called, he wants his bar back. Good food, good beer, but the cloud of smoke that fills this place every might kills everything.

Good Food Good Prices But Loud.. I was in the south side area checking out the new trails when I went past Ruggers Pub. Hungry and looking for a place to have a late lunch, I thought I check it out. The waitress came right over and took our order. We ordered a couple beers, some wings and their macaroni and cheese. The music was very loud while we were waiting for our food so I asked if they could turn it down since we were the only ones in the bar. Some guy, I guess the manager reluctantly turned it down one tenth of a decibel. Needless to say we asked for the food to go. I was surprised the the food took forever to get it when there was only one other couple in the bar at this time. The waitress kept going back to see where it was. The prices and food were very good I am disappointed they could not turn down the music in the restaurant so I could have enjoyed my food hot out of the kitchen.

Some of the best pub food in the south side without the crowds. Fresh cut fries and sandwiches are great.

Great food and service. I work in the Southside and visit Ruggers pretty frequently. I’ve never been disappointed. The food is excellent every time, and the staff is always super friendly. Their burgers and subs are great. I often get the Black and Blue burger which can’t be beat. Getting the pickle chips is a must anytime you visit Ruggers. I’ve never had anything like them. Everyone has deep fried pickles, but definitely not like this.

Fun off-beaten-path joint. Used to stop by here after I hit up giant eagle for groceries. (i lived within short walking distance).always a few good beers on tap and several good beers by the single bottle in the cooler . decent bar-food to boot . i personally don’t have any interest in rugby as they seem to be a rugby bar but no matter .
