Drinks were excellent and the service was good. Food was very very very underwhelming. And the chips aren’t free The menu isn’t too big and they don’t have as many vegan options as I would have liked
The appeal of Mexican food is that it is flavorful and is generally inexpensive. Steel Cactus’ food managed to be neither of these.My fish tacos were severely burnt, what little meat I could find. My fiancee’s meat was just seeping grease across the plate, to the point after one bite it seemed the better idea to just not eat it. That’s not to mention the cold beans that looked like they had just been poured out of a can.Our waitress managed to keep my water completely empty, and the food runner admitted to us when our food came out she didn’t know what either plate was and let us figure it out. I don’t have enemies I would recommend this place to.
Great Food and environment. Went to Steel Cactus with my girlfriend last week. We both enjoyed the food and thought that it was a great addition to the south side. We can’t wait to go back.
Worst food ever. The worst Mexican food ever. Don’t waist your money. I tried it 2 times and both times was really bad. It was so bad that I could not even continue eating after taking a bite. My boyfriend eats everything no matter what and he could not even eat it. That it’s really bad.23 Nov, 2014Worst food ever!!!!. Worst Mexican food ever!!!!! I’ve tried their food 2 times n both times was horrible. Don’t waist your money. There are many other authentic Mexican restaurants in the city. Really the worst I’ve ever had.
