The wings are great BUT service…. I was on business travel and visited this place. The wings are awesome –some of the best in any state. But the Bartender– at least the one who was there on Wednesday explains why an establishment with such great wings had only 5 patrons at 1800(6:00 p.m.). Even with an empty bar,when I walked in, it took several minutes to even be acknowledged. I was treated like a nuisance and promptly consumed my wings and went to another bar a couple of doors down where my patronage was appreciated.When visiting Pittsburgh again,I may try Tad’s again but only because the wings are second to none. The bartender SUCKS.

The wings are delicious, best in the ‘burgh! The bartender is always very nice and everyone in the bar seems to love him when I’m there so I don’t know what the other reviewer is talking about. 25 cent wings on Wednesdays is a phenomenal deal, I want to try other things on the menu, but can’t bring myself to get anything but the wings, I LOVE THEM!
Worst bartender in South Side. Tad’s, formerly known as Barry’s, houses the single worst bartender in all of South Side. It is fair to say that this guy is a head bartender as he is working the majority of evenings the establishment is open. This bartender is known by many to overcharge, and even knowingly steal extra money from the patrons who visit the bar. He is always in a sour/ cranky mood, will avoid serving beverages at all costs, and when he does eventually begrudgingly do his job, it is with the worst attitude, service and morals possible. Many complaints have been made about this particular bartender, yet he remains on the Tad’s staff. Advice: do not allow yourself to be robbed and put up with terrible service
