Very disappointing. I have tried several times to buy baked goods here but each time i have been disappointed. we bought an apple cobbler that was dried out. another dessert was a flop. The bread is not very good. Service is HORRIBLE. last time i bought several loaves of bread I had to beg for a bag to put it all in….not friendly staff at all.

Cupcakes….mmmmmm. I walk past Allegro quite frequently and must admit it’s a challenge not to buy a cupcake every time. So much better than Dozen.

Great!. Wide (and tasty) bread selection and pretty solid eclairs and other sweets.

AMAZING!. Great bread. Great location. Great service. One of my favorite places in Squirrel Hill.

Mmmm…hummus. The baked goods here are great, but what I keep going back for is the hummus. They have the most amazing, authentic hummus I have found in Pittsburgh. On first taste I was transported back to Israel. Fresh, delicious, authentic…it can’t be beat.

Some of the best bread around. Great challah, sourdough and they have a Tuscan loaf that is the size of a Honda. They have a nice selection of cookies and cakes – not fancy, but very, very delicious. There was a larger selection of cheeses and pates at one time, but that’s a little smaller now. Get there early though – selection dwindles at dinnertime.
