Can they move to Ann Arbor?. Ka Mei was always our go-to joint after it opened, with my highly-picky Japanese girlfriend (maybe you don’t understand the utter *disdain* Japanese people register for the East Asian non-Japanese), and she and I always walked out full and deliriously happy. I don’t know how anyone could shed a harsh light on this place, it is scrupulously clean (doctor’s office?… are you kidding… bring it on, guys) and I always judge a restaurant by its restrooms. They are sterile. I would be totally OK eating my dinner *in* the restroom.Boy golly do I miss this place here in Ann Arbor Michigan. We’re not exactly slouches when it comes to hosting, and being critical of, East Asian eateries, but IMHO this was the best of the best.Recommendation: anything with black bean sauce. Whole fish, we only did this the once but it was a winner. Really, anything on the menu. Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight 😉
