I’ve actually eaten here twice recently and it’s okay. One of my general rules of thumb is…the more things on the menu, the less things they actually do well. As you can see from one of my pictures, there are A LOT of things on this menu.I’ve had a sub and several slices of pizza. The sub was just so-so. The taste was okay and it seemed a little overpriced (I bought an 8 inch sub…for that price, I thought it should have been 10-12 inches). The pizza was better and they give you the option to buy by the slice and add whatever topping you want. That’s a luxury not every place has and my son enjoys it because he can get pineapple on his pizza. The location on Forbes is right in the middle of Squirrel Hill, amongst many other restaurants and, more notably, a lot of other pizza places. So competition is tough…and I’d say they’re lagging behind a little. They’re store is small, so there are only a few tables…but I think most people get it to go, so that’s less of an issue.Overall, I’d say the other pizza places are better. But, if you want to get a slice with whatever toppings you want or you’re looking for a wide variety of subs and/or other items, you could make a stop here.(pictures – wide shot of the menu board…just look at the amount of items, 8 inch sub, 4 slices of pizza…spinach and mushroom on one tray, pineapple and cheese on the other)
I’m so disappointed. We ordered manicotti and it was the most bland dish I’ve had in a very long time – how is it possible to mess this up! Maybe this is my fault ordering something other then pizza from a pizza place. The side salads had very strong onions – It is real turn off and tends to tell me that the onions are old. I didn’t eat my salad. As a wrap up there was nothing to get excited about by ordering from here.
Great pizza. For $5.50, two pepperoni slices that are huge and a 20 oz bottle of pop. Come on, that’s cheap and it tastes good. Had my slices in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend. Btw, very clean bathrooms too.
Something for everybody. Pizza bellino has very good pizza and a enormous selection of above average hoagies, and whole wheat pie. The owners are very friendly the store is very clean. Everything I’ve ever had here has not disappointed I would definitely recommend to anyone. You can tell every menu item here is fresh. Try a slice of plain pizza to get a taste you’ll be coming back for more. It would take years to explore the vast menu, but it is worth doing. The Specialty pizzas i have tried have been killer.
Best Whole Wheat Pizza!. I absolutely LOVE their whole wheat pizza! The only place in Squirrel Hill that makes it. They also have a very extensive menu with very good food. Salad’s are huge, and very good too. Awesome low prices too. Definitely check it out – quick service too!
Quality has been compromised. The quality of the ingredients has really decreased over the past half year. The pizza is a solid okay. The owner/manager is really nice though.
