My friend and I tried this cafe’ for the first time and trusted the barista in choosing an iced tea for us and we were very pleased. We LOVE tea and were so pleased with our experience!

No Sandwiches/Wraps. I don’t know if this was just the time of day that I went (around 6:30pm) or if their supplies were low, but there were no sandwiches & wraps here like it suggests on their website. All they had to eat was grilled cheese and assorted pastries. It was disappointing because my friends and I had come there to eat.

Nice place but wish they’d update their menu. I came here for a tea and to get some work done for a few hours. It’s a cute little place with free wifi and lots of natural lighting. The staff was great and very patient as he explained the different tea options to me. The only gripe I have is that they didn’t have most of the tea selections that were listed on their menu. After asking for three different teas they didn’t have, I ended up getting the strawberry herbal tea which was very good.

Done with them.. Basically, this place is NEVER open on time. Ever (in the 5+ times I’ve arrived here.). Personally, this kind of taints my opinion of a business. I’m not going to try going back anymore, and instead will work on one of the myriad coffee shops in Squirrel Hill.I do enjoy the decor/comfort of Te, and enjoy the selection of tea, but it turns out 61c down the street also has a wide assortment of tea, and they open earlier and on time!

Staff is so rude here. I used to go here all the time and they were always on the pretentious side. One day I asked if they had bubble tea and they were so rude about it and basically ostracized me in front of everyone.

These people know their tea. The tea here is way above the standards of tea at a normal coffee house. These people do tea. They can answer all your questions if you don’t know a darn thing about tea, and there are always specials of the day that sound amazing and you want to try 5 of them. The lemonades are really good too, I’ve tried the ginger and lavender and they were both really good. I forget everything I’ve tried here, but I’ve liked everything. Most drinks they can customize and make to taste, too. The grilled cheese is good, so are the soups. The layout is really comfortable and fun, and the staff is very, very friendly. In the winter, this place is like a little sanctuary and an escape from the cold.

Enjoying a nice hot pot of genmaicha here right now! I never understood people hanging out in coffee shops, then this place opened with its excellent teas and mellow atmosphere.
