Love this place. This is my favorite place to get coffee in Pittsburgh. The single origin espressos are amazing (I always get straight espresso or macchiatos). The pour-over coffees are also amazing!
Coffee (Rwanda) was really awful, burnt flavor. Given the price tag I was shocked. Maybe just a bad batch, but not sure how they could miss it if anyone working there had tried it.
Yesyesyes. I have a huge crush on this coffeehouse. the atmosphere is modern without being cold, intimate without being overcrowded. the baristas are so friendly, the coffee is reasonably priced, and the music overhead could basically be straight out of my ipod. i really love the wooden tables, the artwork, and the house drip. definitely one of the best local coffee places in pittsburgh.
Best Coffee in Town. I have been a regular at Commonplace for at least a year now. I’ve had the lavender latte (summer special), fall spice, winter spice, honey cinnamon, chai latte, and probably others that I can’t think of right now. all have been absolutely delicious and their Chai Latte is the best I’ve ever had (with soy milk). I’ve also had some of their individual roast coffees as well as various roasts of the day. All have been great! They are also very accommodating, as they once made me the lavender latte during the winter without the usually syrups and it was still delicious. Only time I’ve ever had anything that was not the best I’ve ever tasted was the mocha latte. My recommendation is go to commonplace for any type of coffee/latte/tea excluding any lattes with chocolate… for those go to caribou.
Love their mochas and iced teas!. I have been to Commonplace Coffeehouse a couple of times in the past month or so and have enjoyed everything I’ve ordered. Their iced tea is very refreshing and their mochas are perfect–just chocolatey enough without being overly sweet. I’ll definitely be returning for more mochas and their coffee too!
Great coffee, great service. I love this place. They have amazing coffee and friendly employees, plus a clean, comfy ambiance inside.
Cinnamon honey latte and raspberry mocha!!. Love this place can never decide which one to get!
