Entered into a seemingly nice place but slowly turned into confusing. Playing Katy Perry, a fuzzy TV, and waiters dressed in black tie-makes no sense. The portions were very small and taste was average. The waiter made no conversation and was not friendly. Will never return.

Better than most State College Restaurants. I’ve been here a few times for a nice dinner, and it has been generally overall a positive experience. Although we’ve had a few dishes that were just okay, and probably not worth the money, we’ve also had some truly delicious meals. I agree with another reviewer who did not like the calamari – I’d say skip it, it wasn’t that great. But their ahi tuna was delicious, the salmon was delicious, the grilled pork was good, their pasta dishes hit the spot. I admit, my heart always sinks a little bit when the dish comes out because the portions are not that big, but I do always leave comfortably full (not stuffed). If you are a person who eats a lot, plan on spending more money, because you’ll probably want to order more food (appetizer, dessert, etc).
Food taste and quality very good. Portions a little smaller than usual for typical menu items. Staff from hostess to server could be more friendly. Not bad, but not good enough to return…
Cozy and Classy. This was the first place I dined at in town when first moving here, and no place has matched it since. Looking forward to going back for a special occasion.
Allen Street Grill = Perfect. Always the best service, food quality, freshness and not too expensive.
Love the Veggie Chili. Whether or get a cup of the Vegetarian Chili or the full blown Santa Fe Chili Bowl, you won’t be disappointed. Both include the house made Vegetarian Chili that is Fresh garden vegetables simmered with tomatoes, Ancho chili powder and black beans.I am almost always pleased with the service here. I can only think of once I didn’t enjoy my visit when the waiter was condescending and had bad personal hygiene. All other times have been quite pleasing and we are treated as valued guests.
