Being a vegan , I was pleased with my spinach wrap. My husband being a carnivore, I cannot say that he was at all pleased. This past weekend we had just dined at a bar in Pittsburgh that took its food and service very seriously. There is nothing that sticks in my husband’s crawl more than an establishment serving a frozen burger. Well, maybe sub-par service. We hit them between shifts and we were kind of left in limbo. Drinks were decent.

Don’t bring young adults. I was in state college on 11/23/12 and was looking to get a quick bite with my adult college student. We saw a menu outside the Tap Room offering soup and sandwiches. As we walked in at 5:00 dinner time we were immediately approached by two bouncers asking if my son was 21. When we told them no they told us we could not stay. WOW!!! no food for us. Their loss and we won’t go back when he is 21.
Good food and a good choice of beer. Medium sized place located in downtown state college. More of a pub atmosphere than restaurant style.
English Pub Style. Atmosphere is interesting, great beer selection, performing barstaff tumble bottles. It IS in downtown State College, though, meaning horrible parking, long lines on weekends, and crazy crowds. Big bouncers check your ID on the way in. Try it for lunch, not late night, unless you’re a drinking putulist who likes sweaty bar crowds. It all depends on when you go. Personally, I don’t like going downtown for much of anything, and I live here.
