A great nightspot! Gets crowded at times, but the specials are good and the drinks are made well.
Good hang. Hung out at this place before the MSU vs. PSU game. We were in enemy territory but the people we met were all friendlies. Good pitcher specials, and a nice atmosphere made this a great time. There’s tables for eating and a backroom where there’s live music. Great service and the crowd was fun. We were dueling fight songs and chants all night. I have a feeling that if I was a PSU student, this would be my watering hole. If you’re visiting from out of town, stop here! Great place!
Fun place. Visited State college for the game last weekend, fans are very nice and this is a good spot to spend some time watching games and eating food.
Nice Patio, but busy night crowd. Good for Lunch on a nice day, great nachos, sandwiches; at night, you get a lot of college kids with their baseball caps on backwards trying to pretend they’ve escaped adolescence, groups of 10-20 who take over most of the tables. Long lines, intimidating bouncers. Again, downtown state college. A zoo at night, with lots of police presence. Go during the day to dine, or hit a restaurant outside the downtown area.
Best lunch specials in State College!
Have a seat…. The Cafe boasts some of the best outdoor seating in State College. When the weather breaks everyone heads to 210 to enjoy the weather and do some people watching. I would recommend skipping class to get there early and get a table. Like anywhere in State College, there is always some sort of alcohol on special. A lot of people opt’ for the Cafe Long Island which personally I think is a little heavy on the sours. Definitely try the skillet fries or nachos. Both of these go down great with a beer on the patio. Most of the menu isn’t going to wow you, but it definitely doesn’t disappoint. Even though the focus here is booze the Cafe still has a lot of tasty options.
