Interesting Pub Restaurant. This is an interesting place, Modeled after an old english pub. Huge Menu, with lots of specials, Soup month, etc. Great drink list, great desserts. Owner Andy Zangrelli has been a local restauanteur for decades, and started beulah’s bbq, Deli, Mario’s & Luigi’s, Saloon, and all the Hi Way Pizzas in the area. Bar Bleu is an upscale martini bar under Beulah’s. If you brave to fight the intolerable parking situation downtown, and steer clear of roaming packs of drunk students yelling obscenities downtown, this isn’t a bad place. I think they do a big brunch, too.

A qualified thumbs up. 20 years ago this was the best place in town and a real favorite of mine. Was there last fall and the quality had declined. Still willing to give it another chance.

State College Staple. When I was at Penn State the Deli was my favorite place to go. Very comfotable atmosphere in the front room – kind of a cozy pub-like feel. Big menu with tons of tasty options that are as comforting as the atmosphere. The Potato Soup is the best way to start your meal. They have about 30 drafts probably and used to have a very nice happy hour. Don’t quote me on this but I think from like 9-11 or 10-12 all alcohol is half off (at least it used to be). Anytime I am in State College, I have to stop in the Deli.
