Was in town for a short stay and wanted to eat halal meat, so we stopped by here. Place was ok and we were super hungry after a long road trip. Sometimes when I eat something when I’m hungry, and find it delicious, I wonder if it’s because I’m hungry. In this case, I guess not, because I had a few bites of everyone’s dishes and didn’t really want to eat more. I really wish it was good.

Not what it used to be. Pita Cabana has (with no doubt) one of the tastiest food in town. I’ve been here may times and they’re service WAS excellent and friendly until recently. They have relatively new servers now and they do a terrible job at customer service. I might not want to return to Pita Cabana ever after the experience I had today. I was served by a young man who did not know what he was doing and behaved with so much arrogance, it disgusts me. To summarize my night, 1) I ordered the half chicken with rice and salad. It was immediately served to me in a polystyrene to-go box that had just chicken and fries in it. Before this I clearly told Server 1 that I wanted rice and she replied ‘Yes, it will come with rice’2) Server 2 told me I could not have hummus, corn or cucumber with my salad without extra charge and he was so puzzled that I would ask for these things. (I’ve had this meal pretty regularly over the past 2.5 years and have always been served hummus, corn and cucumbers with my salad) 3) I paid for baklava and then realized later that it was not handed to me (server 3 did not take it out of the clear container. I show him my bill that clearly says ‘baklava’ and he insisted that I DID NOT pay for baklava. – I had to repeatedly point out the word baklava on my receipt. 4) As we were eating, I watch server 1 grab food out of the tray warmers with his fingers to eat it. Whether he dipped his fingers in the tray or transferred food onto his hand using a ladle, it is work etiquette to NEVER do this. I think the worst part for me was having to ARGUE that I deserve a whole salad with humus. I did not appreciate that this young man did not check with a supervisor (if there is one) or anyone else to see if he was right. He just ASSUMED that he was right. And if the rules have changed, there should be a polite way of explaining this to your regular customers! TO THE OWNER, I have met you several times and you are a very nice man. I wish you were here to serve us once again. I wish there was a way you could train your employees to maintain the high standards that you used to have. I am saddened by this experience and would like you to know that I will not buy from Pita Cabana nor recommend this place to anyone unless I see you at the cashier once again.

Great food and friendly owner. Good prices and a unique menu for the area. Israeli collaborator said ‘closer to back home then I would of ever expected!’

Good Middle Eastern!. We liked the food, and the people are really friendly too. We’ll be back! Try the felafel (it’s vegan!) and baklava.

A true hidden gem! Tucked away below ground level, this new cafe features a chill, ethnic atmosphere, great service, and wonderful food. A nice departure from the usual State College-town fare, the very affordable Lebanese Fusion cuisine is authentic and very fresh. Free wifi, mango and guava juices, and one hell of a tabouli are just a few reasons to descend a few steps to this new addition to the town.
