Nice neighborhood eatery. A good go-to place for something different. be prepared to stay for a bit as they are actually cooking your order! The dishes I’ve had are consistently fresh and tasty plus I like the understated decor.
Underwhelming. I was really craving sushi so I thought that I’d try this place. Unfortunately, no one should ever have a sushi craving in State College, because you’ll be tortured with desire for actual sushi. It certainly wasn’t terrible, but it was very underwhelming. We ordered the tempura appetizer and then lunch specials (California, salmon, tuna, and cucumber/avocado rolls). I’m not a wasabi fan at ALL (my taste buds just aren’t meant for it), but there was wasabi in the tuna and salmon rolls! I couldn’t enjoy them at all. The other two were fine. Some might like this, but I thought it was strange that they would put wasabi in their rolls without asking.
