Underwhelming. We have dined in and gotten food for take-out over the past decade. The staff is friendly, accurate but speed of service is inconsistent.The food, with ample vegetarian choices, is mediocre and the sauces have always been very oily with little flavor. An example being the General Tso’s Bean Curd, although there are dried whole chilis thrown in the mix, you don’t get much heat from them unless you bite directly into one.We keep trying to like Golden Wok but something disappoints us a little almost every time. Probably why we don’t go back until we forget, about once a year.

Far and away the best Asian food in State College, and the best I have had in Central PA. Visiters compare it favorably to the best in there own home town or better. I recommend the house special lo main, the beef and asparges, Hunan beef and chicken, and hot and sower soup. Everything is great, except the fortune cookies. You won’t be disappointed!
