My food was very good. I sat at the bar. Bartender was terrific. I had the strip steak, fries, and spinach salad. I highly recommend all three. Unlimited sides of about 10 choices.
Food is really bland. Been there 2 or 3 times. Each time, my food has been just bland to the point where I can barely eat it – even though it’s overpriced. The meat is dry and flavorless, the side dishes without any pizazz. The desserts are decent, but I wouldn’t go there just for that. I’ve had a grilled chicken dish and a fish dish there so far, and maybe I should try the steak because I’ve heard it’s good. But based on what I have had so far, the Corner Room is even better food.
Great place to go while in Stare College. Terrific seafood lasagna. Love the ambiance.
Great service, good ambience, just so so food. Went there with our daughter and her friend. Great, friendly waiter. An institution in State College. Food price is on the expensive side – not much for the main dishes but you can get as much as you want for the side dishes!!!We had a lamb, a blackened chicken, a grill chicken and a salmon. Not much to write about in the food side. Mostly bland and small portion. Great service and atmosphere, though. Wine prices are very decent with low mark-up.Mom, dad, kids who go to Penn State fill the room…Don’t go for the food, go for the atmosphere… probably once is enough, though!
Family and Food. I went for parents weekend and I had a great time. My family and my roommate’s family went and they seemed to have no difficulty serving a party of seven. The service was fast and the food was great. I also liked the option of unlimited sides because if you did not like something you could easily switch it out for something else. The atmosphere was great and we may have to go back again soon.

Great and affordable. Dispite the impossible parking, this is a great restaurant to go to celebrate. Little privacy from table next to you. Great menu, updated daily. Unlimited side dishes are a treat. Can be very affordable. Penn State , Shmenn State, this place has hundreds of old STATE COLLEGE town history photos interesting to history buffs. No reservations. Cozy bar, fireplace in winter. Food is great, service fast, friendly. Open for dinner only.
