Just left this pancake house after very rudely being asked to have my part of 5 leave. I arrived at 830 to get a table knowing this place can get busy. I was seated right away but told our waitress I was expecting the rest of the party around 9. I ordered a hot drink and chatted with the waitress and explained the party was getting together to spend time with a co-worker that was having a rough time. The party arrived and we ordered about 930. The food arrived about 10 but in 2 servings so not everyone received their order at the same time. Before we could finish our meal the waitress came back with to go boxes and our bill. We continued to eat and chat till the owner’s wife came at 1050 and told us we were taking up space and needed to leave. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We ordered 5 full breakfasts, drinks and may have ordered a dessert if we were not handed our check so quickly after our food arriving. We were screamed at as the owner made a scene in front of the whole place. I would have gladly paid a little extra for use of the table to compensate them for their time, and I did nicely take care of the waitress who was losing other orders. I for one will never return to this location. Please consider Triplets Dinner, Perkins or Friendly’s all of which are just as easy to get to from the highway if you are passing by. Staff much nicer and pricing is just as good on full meals. 2 stars given for the compassion of the waitress when we explained why we were there only.
Stopped here after skipping the free breakfast at the nearby Hampton Inn. We were not disappointed to pay for this breakfast. It was busy but our food was out in no time. My wife loved her country omelette. I had a bacon and cheese omelette. It too was delicious. Toast was good, home fries were excellent. The greeter was not super friendly but our waitress was great! Would definitely recommend Compton’s for anyone who lives in the area or is traveling.
The breakfast was outstanding! If you are around the area this is a highly recommended stop.
No microwave IHOP pancakes here! They are fresh and yummy!
Food is great but the service SUX. Loud obnoxious waitresses front and back of house. Kitchen always sounds like there’s a fight happening in there. Just grin n bear it cuz the pancakes r delicious!
It’s a diner….. I beleive it’s only open for Lunch and Breakfast. Standard diner style fare. I wouldn’t go for the ambiance (although theyhave been fixing the place up and it’s better) And the wait staff isn’t the most freindly, but they are attentive.I think they cooka mean breakfast and they ahve the best damn Potato Pancakes I’ve had in many many years. Also they make their own hot sauce which has great flavor in addition to some heat.
