Will make the trip to go back!. What a wonderful surprise. The food was so delicious. You may have to wait, but if you can do it, you won’t be disappointed. Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection; from soup to dessert. Nice to have so many vegetarian choices too! Tofu and seitan! Who could ask for more!
Kanya, Nick, and Nina make a great team. Kanya’s mastery of the kitchen, and Nina’s command of the modest and meticulous dining room make for an exceptional culinay thai experience. And the conductor Nick at the register always welcomes you at the door. Small dining room makes for a nice cozy and warm atmosphere.
Simply Fabulous. First of all, the ambience is fine. I don’t need a bunch of fake, dusty bamboo that tries (unsuccessfully) to make me feel like I’m in a rice patty outside Bangkok. Nice, clear, colorful photos taken by the owner of his travels to and time spent in Thailand are enough. Nick, the owner, is as accommodating and pleasant a fellow as you’ll ever find. He knows hospitality and makes every person that walks through the door feel it. He is GENUINELY glad you’re there and will always do anything and everything he can to show it. His mother is the hostess, and his daughter is the waitress. The service is perfect. If there’s ever a delay, it’s never for any reason other than because the place is so damn popular, and the two or three tiny Thai ladies (one being Nick’s wife) can only move so fast. Now the food: One can only find so many words to describe perfection. These people know flavor and spice and portions and temperature and color and presentation and pricing and timing. Simply put… I have never had a bad experience at Thai Orchid. Or a bad dish. Or a problem parking. Or a bad word to say. Oh, wait… Yes. There was that time I couldn’t get a table because they were jam packed. Nick apologized (for being too busy?!) and summarily bought me my next meal there with gift certificates to be used on my next visit. ‘Nuf said? Don’t miss Thai Orchid. You won’t be squished together like in the over-filled and far away Saen or overcharged and over-kitsched like in Thai Thani.
Small place with excellent service. Classic Thai choices prepared quickly and all very delicious! Try the crispy duck!
Good quality food at a competitive price. I’ve only tried a few dishes so far but they are more or less traditional, served up fast from a clean kitchen. Not much decor to speak of but a great place to eat in or take out.
High quality food. I really love this place! Curry, soups and sticky rice dessert selections are great. Very fresh and high quality ingredients. Saen does have better ambiance, but the quality and taste here are just as good and its BYOB..which I think is a plus for keeping the bill down a bit. So glad Stroudsburg is getting some different dining options.
Not awesome. It’s not great, it’s also not awful. Drive an extra 10 minutes and go to Saen Thai Cuisine in Shawnee instead.
