Went on a recommendation and was well worth the trip.. A friend of mine has been raving about this Nigerian Hoagie at De Costanza’s for weeks now. So, being the foodie that I am, I had to se what the fuss was all about. So this pasted Friday, I grabbed my boyfriend and drove just over the PA line into Boothwyn. There it was, an older, kind of sketchy looking, stucco building. Hesitantly, I trotted through the rain from my car into the building. Although, truth be told, I was starting to doubt my friends judgement, as soon as I caught a glimps of Augie at the meat slicer, I knew she was onto something. I ordered The Nigerian Hoagie: Roast beef, Corn Beef, Turkey & Provolone Cheese. I added the home made sweet & hot, long peppers, which were well worth the extra dollar. My small sandwich was atleast 10 inches long and piled high with freshly sliced to order meats. My fiance and I split a small and couldn’t finish it!I already recommended Di Costanza’s to several friends and am already planning a trip back myself.Great food, great customer service.
Lots of Meat!. Overall I would give this place a 7 out of 10. I enjoyed the sandwich, and would go back if in the area, but I don’t think I would go way out of my way for one.Atmosphere: A newly remodelled sandwich shop with a walkup counter, and about eight tables on the side for sitting. They were busy when I was there, but most of their business was carry out. They have an adequate parking lot.Food: I had the Italian Hoagie, and it was packed with meat. The meat was so thinly sliced that you could see through it. It was very fresh, and very good. The meat was packed on so much that you could barely fold the sandwich to take a bite, and when you did it wrapped into a ball of meat about two inches thick squeezing out all of the toppings. The bread was made to my liking. I am not a fan of hard bread, and this bread was soft enough to be enjoyed. Toppings and flavor were just OK in my opinion, but the quantity of meat made it worth it. Service: The service was very good and very friendly. On the advice of a friend we called ahead to order, and we were told they were about 30 to 45 minutes behind. This was perfect since we were about 30 minutes out, and they were finishing our sandwich when we arrived. If you are going to be on the road for a while after ordering, order the hoagie packed for the road, and they will separate the wet stuff from the bread to keep it from going soggy.
