  • I Heart Food

Fantastic Vietnamese food. I discovered Little Saigon 4-5 years ago, despite having lived nearby for quite some time. This place is run by a very friendly husband/wife team, who remember our orders and gladly modify menu items to accommodate my vegetarian mother. The interior is small and the wait times a little long on the weekend, but it is worthy every minute. Every item I have tried tastes fresh, homemade and is generally the best version of that dish I have had (I am looking at you beef tendon pho). They also offer takeout, which is a great option for a fantastic meal without the wait time! Some of my favorites:1. Pork spring rolls Fried and perfect crispy on the outside, with a delicious ground pork mixture on the inside. These dipped in the red chili sauce provided on the table is heavenly. 2. Beef tendon pho (or any pho) This pho has ruined all other phos for me. It has the exact balance of flavors and the softest meats, making it hard to describe just what makes this so special. Everything just works in a delicious symphony of broth/meat/noodles. This is the only restaurant where I finish every last bit of the pho.3. Anything cooked in a pottery pot (every meat option tastes equally amazing) The fish cooked in the pottery pot (served with a side of rice) has recently been my go to meal at Little Saigon. It is such an incredible combination of ingredients (most of which I cannot identify), with amazingly tender fish and stew. 4. Little Saigon special This has three kebob skewers (generous portions) with well-seasoned and cooked meat (beef, chicken). It comes with a side of pork spring rolls, which is great because one can never have enough. Never.5. Coconut juice Fresh tasting juice with large chucks of coconut inside! Refreshing and a must have.
