Great Recommendation!. Maggie O’Neills is a very cool Irish Pub in Drexel. At a friends recommendation we stopped in here for a few pints last Thursday night before heading into the city for a concert. We ended up staying for dinner.There was ample seating so we ponied up the wooden bar and ordered our beers. I know this may sound silly but damn it’s nice to be in a place that knows how to pour a Guinness.The menu is large, varied and competitively priced. There are plenty of traditional Irish meals such as Bangers and Mash all the way to regional favorites like the Cheesesteak. Since I was visiting the area, I went with the Cheeseteak.The kitchen in my opinion was a little slow, especially since the restaurant wasn’t crowded. However when the food did come out it was delicious and the serving size was generous. Picture enclosed.I’m really looking forward to returning here on a future trip to the area. Check them out!
Bad Night????. Walked in last Saturday night around 9 PM and it seemed like a beat crowd. Not very festive, everyone just kind of keeping to themselves. I got cursed out by a drunk old lady in front of my wife, still not sure why. Maybe because I wasn’t a regular. Oh well, I will try again in a couple months and see if the atmosphere is different next time.
