Joeys place used to be delicious. However, it has gone downhill. Wait staff is never polite, anymore. Their food is OK, that is if you’re only getting fries and a cheese steak. Any food that takes effort is NOT good. Step your game up, joeys place.
Gone down hill. I’ve gone here whenever I’m back in Williamsport and my most recent visit wasnt great. It just seems that nothing is very good. I had a Turkey cosmo which tasted manufactured and a just step above subway. Definitely not even close to being the best sub in Williamsport.

One Time Restaurant.. I had subs here. I didn’t feel it was that great, it just tasted OK. This is the kind of restaurants I don’t want to go for twice.
Update from the last. Received our food finally. My steak was half mid rare half well done. My mashed potatoes are instant and were sitting under the warmer for too long because it had a disgusting crust formed on top of it. Steak came out barely warm and our server forgot my steak sauce until I was on my last bite of the steak. I’M NEVER RETURNING!15 Jul, 2012Soooo not happy. Service was slow. waited 5 minutes for a server to greet us and another 5 minutes for our drinks. 15 minutes for our appetizer and then she finally took our order. The appetizer plates were dirty with a greasy film stuck to it and we haven’t received our entrees.
What happened. I’ve been eating cheese steaks at Joey’s for 30 plus years, even looked forward to going there during the many years out of state. It was always the place to come back to when home visiting. It was the place with which we set our cheese steak standards to when trying other places….not anymore. Not sure when it went down the tubes but during a recent visit I was truly let down. Very poor quality of cheese steak, roll was fresh but the rest was not the Joey’s we al remembered. I’d rather pay a little more to keep up with the economy and kep the standards up as opposed to reducing the quality. If it’s the cook, get rid of him! I’m not ging back until something changes; I miss my Joey’s cheese steaks.
Fast service. Once a waiter or does waitress waits on you…..the service is fast. Safe place to go for a quick lunch. Middle class working local spot. Great Cheese Steaks and Subs.
