About
Vaca Brava is fun and taste! A unique puerto rican country style restaurant, focused on steaks, mashed plantains and other delightful local ingredients, this place introduced the elevated custom designed platters. That revolutionized the restaurant industry along the island and spread the word of mouth, calling the attention of the locals, as well as the international media. Some of the dishes like "La Vaca Acostá" (The resting cow), "El tendedero" (The drying rack) and the traditional mofongo, amongst others, became famous and immediately long lines of diners were made to taste the innovative concept. Whole families ate from a single service; and singles like Adam Richman from The Travel Channel visited Puerto Rico to take on the "Vaca Acostá" Challenge, an 8-lb. platter of grilled sirloin steak and sides.
