Great setting. Love all the antiques. Imaginative menu, well done
Hidden Gem. Funky decor, delicious food, and strong presentation make this a worthwhile diversion from downtown Providence and/or Federal Hill… Their diver scallops are excellent, and their risotto is similarly well prepared. The braised lamb shank is made perfect by a demi-glace that doesn’t overwhelm.
The service is rather poor almost ditsy yet, the food makes up for it. Try the mussle appitizer! Be sure to look around, the decor is amazing and most things are for sale.
The food was fantastic, the service was not. We waited to get the menu, we waited to hear specials, we waited to get drinks and so on. However the mussels in the red curry sauce was a treat all it’s own we even ordered bread to lap it up when mussels were gone! I’d go back for the food
Service: I went for brunch. The restaurant was slow so I was surprised that I stood at the door for 5 minutes before being seated. I then waited 20 minutes and actually called the restaurant from my table asking if someone would come help me. Food: crab cake with poached egg. Crab was great. Egg was hard boiled. Don’t bother checking this place out
Best Rhode Island Treasure. I love this Rhode Island gettaway restaurant, It’s in a little hidden location but It’s magical inside. The decor it’s self makes you feel like your somewhere else. The menu is so diverse and so wonderful. It is mine and my boyfriends favorite restaurant, a job well done to you Silva .( owner of Cav)
Fantastic. Every time I come back to Providence, I always have to go to Cav. The ambiance is outstanding. It is eclectic, but not over-the-top. Everything that is in the restaurant can be purchased and brought home. Really cool. The food is outstanding. I’ve had Steak, Pork Tenderloin, and Salmon, and I am always happy. Their martinis are also very good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Providence.
