Restaurant has very poor ambiance, it’s very dark and no sort of music so you can hear everyone’s conversations around you. As far as the food goes it was good, but considering you have to cook it yourself NOT worth the $. If someone gives me a plate of raw food and tells me to cook it i dont expect to be charged an outrageous amount of $ for it. My girlfriend and I went and our bill was $116 w/2 drinks, no dessert and basic entrees. The service was nothing to brag about either. For the $, go to one of the other high end restaurants in Providence or head over to Newport.
I came here using a living social deal and our bill was still $50.00 after two additional drinks. NOT worth the money. I was presented with a plate of raw meat and instructed to cook it myself and without the living social deal our bill came to $116.00….so if you want overpriced food that you can cook yourself definitely come here! 🙂
Awful experience. The service is extremely slow. The menu is overpriced.
Three hour meal. I had heard so much about this place so when I saw there was a Groupon I purchased one as did the couple we went with. The Groupon was for a three course meal including one drink for a couple for $45. I thought this was a great deal. It included an appetizer, salad, and main course, plus one drink each off of a limited menu. The service was so slow between courses. We did order a desert to split at the end, which they charged per person. The bill on top of the Groupon for eight drinks, a lobster tail and dessert came to almost $200. The main course was not worth it. The past part was the appetizer and desert. This place is over priced even for the experience. Save your money and go elsewhere!
Terrible night out!. I recently purchased a groupon and decided to try this restaurant for the first time. Everything went ok. At the end of the dinner, the waiter, Brandon, came over and asked for the groupon then left the check. Since we had already paid for the meal the check was for 18 percent gratuity and taxes. I had purchased the groupon and my friend offered to pay gratuity and taxes. She put down the money and asked me to recount. We owed 24 but added a few dollars and left 27. My friend only had 20s so we left one 20 dollar bill and seven 1 dollar bills. So we left the check on the table and left. We were on the way to the movies about 15 minutes later when we received a call from the manager, Bethany saying we had only left 14 dollars. I was absolutely horrified as a waitress myself that is something I would never do. Also we knew it couldnt be possible because she had said we left a 10 and four ones, neither of us had any tens on us. After explaining to the manager this is something we would never do and offering to go back to the restaurant and speak to the server directly she had said she would talk to him and get back to me. So far I have been waiting over and hour and a half for her to get back to me and no call. I called once more to try and resolve the situation and was told by the hostess that she had not talked to the server yet and she would let me know. This was the absolute worse experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It completely ruined the rest of my night.
Want on a date here…. But this wasn’t my first time to a melting pot. I’ve gone in Texas. I loved it personally there too. The only part of the experience was my date….. I’ll def come again 🙂
Apps and Dessert are the best!. Don’t waste your time with the entree but the bread and cheese at first and then the fruit and all at the end…just amazingly delicious!
