Large Version of a Local Diner…. It’s a BIG restaurant, but the food quality and the flavor puts you in mind of a local diner. The cornbeef sandwhich was wonderful – side dishes were excellent, as was the dessert. If your in the area, try this place, you won’t be sorry.
Always a favorite when in East Providence. Classic place. Having any of the cakes is a must; my favorite being the carrot cake.It is a little expensive: $6.50 for a slice of cake, and about $10 for each of our meals. Definitely worth it whenever we are in tow visiting.
Get Out of Town. This is an OK place if you are looking for basic pub food, but I had to put in a negative review because of their unwarranted reputation as a great place. The only people who think this place is great are the same ones who don’t leave the state. The same way Chuck-E-Cheese excites children, Gregg’s excites Rhode Islanders who never leave town.Oh, and have you heard about their desserts? Oh that I hadn’t! You know what’s so great about their desserts is that they are big. That’s it. They aren’t bad, they aren’t great. They’re big, and that’s why people think they are great. Stay home and watch Tony Petrarca with a big piece of Sara Lee pie instead.
Best Cake Ever!. Highly recommend! Gregg’s cakes have become a staple in any of our family’s celebrations. We especially love their golden layer cake.
