BiBimWHAT?. I do not have much experience with Korean food, but I am guessing that this is pretty authentic from what I have had. I have always wanted to try BiBimBop, so today I did (with tofu in the stone dish). The woman running the place was so adorable and put the sauce (like Saracha) in and mixed it all for me at the table. My main course was ok, but it did not have a lot of flavor. Mostly you get the sauce flavor which is one-note. I think i enjoyed the people working more than the food. She brought out kim chi (not the best, but ok), some brocoli stuff, and lightly pickled cucumbers that tasted very fresh (and i usually hate cucumber). It was a little expensive ($15 for lunch), but an experience i am glad I had.

Wonderful!. After reading reviews in the RI Monthly several years ago, my partner and I decided to try this place. That was over 3 years ago. The food is delicious, especially the seaweed roll with tuna. To die for! Each year Sun & Moon lands in RI Monthly for their consistently well prepared Korean food. If you like Thai, Asian, Vietnamese food, you will love it here. It looks fairly unassuming from the outside and it is next door to a tatoo parlor. Don’t let that sway you. Inside there are 3 rooms in this deceivingly well laid out restaurant. There are 2 backrooms and one is a bit more intimate than the other. Reservations are not required. There is BYOB on certain week nights.
This is my favorite restaurant. Korean food is my favorite food, and sun and moon is my favorite Korean Restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious, and everyone is so friendly.
The reviews are correct. Keeping it short: what everyone has written is correct. This is an excellent restaurant. If you don’t like authentic Korean food (really? seriously? are you crazy? who doesn’t like good Korean food?) then don’t bother but, if you like it and haven’t been here yet… Why are you waiting?
The moon shines on sunday. The dinner was most excellent. The waiter greeted us at the door and the owner/head cook greeted us warmly. We started with the scallion pancake and assorted pickled veg., the Kim Chi was perfect with the right amount of garlic versus heat. We split two entrees and the shrimp was perfectly cooked, the summer squash and zucchini was tender, but not overcooked. The Korean short ribs were just outstanding and the beef broth wasn’t too salty which can happen from time to time. The Sun & Moon is the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
