The atmosphere was fantastic. The service was fine. The tomato basil bisque was delicious. The entrees were below average. I would come back again but would try something other than the chicken salad or sword fish.
The longest wait in Newport. 1 hour for the table and another hour after we ordered. Food was just on.
We were here the weekend of the International Boat Show. It was loud and dark, and wait staff was overtaxed, but did a good job considering. We had a range of dishes from Thai Lobster Cakes to shrimp dishes to Shepards Pie with Kale Salad. All were tasty but the service wait was too long in the noisy dark.
Excellent late dinner. My daughter and I were looking for an interesting restaurant without the huge noise volume of many downtown Newport places. Didn’t disappoint. My clam chowder was very good and hot beef sandwich excellent. Daughter had oysters on the half shell and escargot on garlic butter. She was happy as a clam :). Service was attentive.
Holy f*c&. This was one of the worst meals i have ever had. the chowder was like i shi& dieria and it was white. never try this place.
Disappointed. The so called famous chowder was ok. My main course was not very good and was highly overpriced.
