No. Great beer selection but terrible service. Came on a Thursday night for beers and food and left promptly after one round. Bartender was the worst. Completely inattentive and clueless about the beers. We had to yell over to him to let us pay for the round. We are easy going but this was just bad in every way. -sigh-
My husband and I were looking for a seafood restaurant on our anniversary but we chose Norey because of the price range. When we got there and looked at the menu we discovered that the only seafood they had was clams and oysters on the half shell. We ended up ordering Mac and cheese with ground turkey (because we saw someone else eating it at the next table) the lemon chicken and lettuce wraps. The Mac and cheese was warm and cheesy and delicious!!!! The lemon chicken was tender with the perfect spices and the chicken mixture forbthrblettuce wraps was so flavorful you forgot that it was supposed to be light and healthy! When we noticed the chef walking around the restaurant my husband complimented the food. He surprised us and sent us a free pumpkin cheesecake that was also delicious! So my husband surprised him and left him a note that he made our 5 year anniversary even more special!
Norey’s is the gold standard for service. Best beer in Newport. Great bartenders and servers and my favorite JT who really know the beer, wine, and food. They go the extra mile to make sure you have a perfect meal. Chef Tyler Cullen is running one of the best restaurant in town. Check out the desserts made by Norey herself- especially the carrot cake and coconut cake.
Strong!. Stone Imperial Russian Stout on tap? Jambalaya quesedilla? You gotta be whackin’ me! Newport’s about as far away physically and culturally as one can get from San Deigo and New Orleans… Yet Norey’s brings it all together seamlessly with its own in-house vibe. Great plumbers-and-lawyers crowd- waitess made these transients feel like locals. Unbelieveable selection of national/international crafts brews. Specials are where it’s at on the menu. Humus among the best in the world. Nice and noisy w/ no need to shout while conversing. Totally reasonable prices all the way around. Best joint in Newport- period.
Best Craft Beer Selection I’ve Ever Seen. I’m a craft beer guy. Just love the stuff. And Newport has some good craft beer bars, but the first time I walked into Norey’s, I was absolutely blown away by the beer selection.The beers they have on tap are the best and rarest of what’s available.And the food is pretty damn good too. The Thai Curry I had had the perfect amount of hotness and spice.
Great brews, ok grub. Norey’s has an amazing selection of micro brews. We think this little place is well worth a visit for their beer. The food is just ok. Service is spot on. So stop in & try something different that Bud already. It is worth it!
Everything I’ve tried there is excellent. Great beer selection, especially if you like trying hard to find microbrews. Great wine selection, if you know what you are doing.
