Hidden gem in RI. This restaurant is excellent for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike! In fact, our non-vegetarian friends specifically brought my wife and I (vegetarians) to this place.We ordered a few appetizers: the nachos, the beet latkes and the chipotle seitan. The latkes were very tasty, and the seitan was hot! The nachos were pretty good as well.I ordered the quinoa-crusted tempeh for the entree. It was delicious! Definitely not enough room for dessert.The atmosphere was very nice (including the lights dimming mid-meal) despite the building being in a strip mall. The service was excellent, as the waitress gave us excellent recommendations. I highly recommend this place!
They won’t tell me the recipe for the kangaroo sauce!. I love this place. I’m here around once a week for lunch, and I always get the chicken strips. They’re so good. I can never make them like that at my house. The sauce that it comes with is delicious too!

Great Food!!. I stumbled onto this restaurant on my way back from Boston almost two years ago. My friend and I wanted a raw juice and called the local Whole Foods that steered us to The Garden Grille. I had just opened my own eatery on Long Island, and we asked to see the owner, who sat with us, encouraging us, advising us, sharing recipes for over an hour. I wish I could remember his name to thank him here personally…but his face I’ll never forget. But that just tells you about the man…his food was amazing!!! We’ve tweaked one of his dishes…the black bean and butternut squash quesadilla and it’s one of the most popular items on our menu. My son is starting at URI this fall…his girlfriend at Providence so I’m sure I’ll be a regular over the next four years!!! Keep up the good work!
Top notch for health lovers!. This place is the real deal if you’re into healthy/vegetarian/vegan and plain ol good food. There are very few restaurants that make healthy food taste this good.It’s a bit pricey, but certainly worth it. They also have great drinks, a killer beer selection, and some scrumptous desserts. Two arms up!
