Great food and good portion sizes. The restaurant is a bit upscale and the prices reflect it. However, they’re always giving out coupons and deals so you’ll save plenty of money if you’re a regular customer.I’ve never been disappointing with Rasoi food, instead I found a lot of new and different choices at Rasoi and loved it. Usually I stick with Sagg, but I tried a biryani’s, mushroom, and pea dish and was very happy with it. The drinks were delicious, I had a peach sangria and it was tasty. They also have a great lunch combination menu; you can choose between two different offerings of a variety of dishes. They come in small bowls surrounding a large heap of rice (or naan). Our server was so sweet. She was on top of our larger party making sure we had drinks and water and was just super nice. I’ll definitely need to come back and try some new things again. indorifoodcop.wordpress.com
Everything was just so meh. I am a vegetarian and the all vegan lunch buffet on Saturday failed to impress me. Maybe I should try the regular menu next time. The buffet was a combination of south and North Indian food, and they didn’t get either of them right. There is no such thing as a yellow idli!!!!!
Not a good experience.Guys, found a long hair in my nephew’s food and he left the food. Please be careful with what ever you order. The manager or the person incharge argued and said they do not have the female working in the kitchen. The amazing thing was our waitress was a lady. I will definitely think twice going there again. And, the waitress kept on asking to order the main course as if they wanted us to go out from there.
A little something for everyone. We LOVE Rasoi. They have meals for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike and they never disappoint. We went their recently with world travelling college-age family members and was waiting for their opinion. But watching them eat, smile and basically do the ‘happy food dance’ in their seats was all I needed to see. A big thumbs up from them, and us. I hope they open up more locations around Rhode Island.
Awesome sweet coconut naan! Hard to find south Indian food around town; their dosa makes me drool just thinking about it. So easy to order from their I phone app and then they send me coupons all the time! Prefer rasoi hands down over their prov kabob and curry.
Superior Subcontinental. Try the Cauliflower Manchurian. Delicious crispy fried cauliflower in tomato and onion based sauce. It was the best dish at our table but the others were also tasty and well presented. Most vegetarian dishes are $12 and if you really want to feast, go on Saturday or Sunday for the all you can eat brunch (Saturday is vegetarian!). Another great Indian restaurant to add to Providence’s already rich offerings.
Fair meal, Challenging service. Providence,a city dotted with a multitude of gastronomic opportunities, presents the food vendor with special challenges. It’s not OK to be good–they have to be great if they want to be around a year later, two years later, …and the genuine test of likelihood of longevity…three years later. The whole task of being a successful member of the HOSPITALITY Industry isn’t how much of the chef’s ego lands ON the plate–success in the Hospitality Industry happens when the GUEST feels like THEY are the most important person in the room. Unfortunately, it does not appear the staff & service members at Rasoi have mastered this concept. The spot is run like a McIndia, shuffling patrons in and out without regard for appropriate seating arrangements. Staff shout across the bar to one-another RE:rice orders and drinks. They kick doors, slam dishes, ignore their tables repeated requests for simple serviceware. Skip this one. Lots better eats elsewhere.
