Amazing. Wonderful dinner there last evening… the tomato soup was absolutely delicious and I had a salad special which was romaine leaves, candied bacon, goat cheese, oven roasted tomatoes and radish….wow! I had the pasta special ….garganelle with lobster, fennel and my husband got the ribeye with creamed spinach….both were terrific! I’m going back (for sure) for the tomato soup and grilled cheese at lunch. Pricey yes, well worth it!

Good job. Cafe Nuovo is on my short list of favorite Providence restaurants. When someone asks where is the best place to eat in Providence, Cafe Nuovo is always in the top 3 places I reply with.
We sat outside at Cafe Nuevo for the Water Fire Celebration on the Providence River. It was spectacular as we dined on some of the best food in the city. I had a delicious salad and lamb chops which were cooked perfecto. There were 6 of us and everyone was thoroughly pleased from the appetizers to dessert. The desserts were so delicious and the presentations were amazing.. It was a beautiful midsummer’s night with delicious red wine flowing and a perfect view of the Waterfire Extravaganza
Took my boyfriend to Cafe Nuovo for his birthday, he had the lamb which was delicious, I had a seafood pasta dish which was mediocre.
Came here for the first time on New Year’s Eve 2010 and it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The owner of the establishment was there and was very warm and welcoming even with my 2 and 4 year old nieces. Visit this restaurant if you’re ever near Providence!
A delight. We don’t get out to dinner often – so when we do…we want it to be good. And it was. We enjoyed every moment of this meal – from the fantastic service to the well-priced wine and the amazing cut of tuna that my husband scrumptiously devoured. I ordered a pesto pasta special with the most tender crabmeat I’ve every tasted. The meal was so good we couldn’t stop and ordered a dessert that I may never forget – a banana chocolate cheesecake with the most yummy carmelized bananas on the side. Great meal, great time.
