Food is good. Staff friendly and the food can be prepared as you would like it made. I have been eating there three years and its a nice place to go in and eat ethnic Chinese dishes, and if you are there on a lucky day, you will see a lot of pretty Chinese girls.. So you get good food, music, comfortable eating area, and pretty girls on a good day. There delivery is prompt, It comes to you hot the way you want it.; It is fresh and you know your food did not sit there waiting like at some other places for more deliveries.
Convenient, friendly, great food. Gold Stone is a small mostly takeout spot with great food. That said, although the sit down space is small, they have created a fun dine-in experience as well. Definitely the best casual/ takeout Chinese in the area. The staff is friendly and accommodating and they definitely seem to take the business of serving up quick and tasty Chinese food seriously. Highly recommend checking them out.
Not impressed at all. I tried this place after read this raving review. Unfortunately, I was very disappointment. It might be a different chef cooked for me. The food came out very salty and greasy. I ordered shredded pork in garlic sauce, my son ordered chicken broccoli. we could not finish at all, we had to drink a lot of water after we had the food. When I saw the Brownish color oil puddle left at the container. Then, I understand why. Those dishes were too greasy. It looked like BP spilled oil in our meals. We eat out at Chinese restaurants in RI frequently. There were quite few good ones. They are Red Ginger, Mu Mu, Lucky Garden, Chinese Iron Wok, King Garden, … etc. They all are pretty good. Unfortunately, Gold Stone is not a place we will recommend to our friends.
Best Chinese food ever!. The chef at Gold Stone used to work at the Chinese Iron Wok in Seekonk before that restaurant closed and reopened in Providence with a different chef. Gold Stone has by far the absolute best Chinese food I have ever tasted. They cook authentic Chinese food and are very happy to substitute ingredients as needed. I recommend ordering from the menu on the tables as it seems to have more of the authentic recipes than the paper menu. The staff at Gold Stone are kind and helpful as well. This is a small place with very few seats as it was originally meant to be a take out place only. Finally a good Chinese restaurant in Rhode Island!
