Horribly noisy with excellent food. Even though the food and wine is excellent, the dining experience is terrible due to the incredible noise level at dinner time. We have been patrons over the years and the noise level is getting worse. Some investment is necessary or one will loose customers like us and the word will spread that this is not a nice dinner atmosphere. Not only can one not hear your partner across the table, the waitress has to shout to be able to get the specials heard and apologizes for that. This is totally unacceptable for a good restaurant. I can see that having frequently a full house might not make the owner want to invest in improvements, but I think they should, if they want to keep up a good reputation.

I went in this past weekend during providence restaurant week, and I went with three other people. From the appetizer to the dessert- everything was Amazing!! The restaurant was super busy but our service was pleasant and thorough.

Very good food but way overpriced. You can do better on Federal Hill.

As good as ever. Has always been and still is our favorite place in Providence. A member of their VIP Loyalty program so we dine there often. Friendly staff, especially our favorites Colleen and Dan, and the food is always great. Sea Bass and Veal our favs. Out of 50 meals there, maybe once it was just ok. Good enough odds for me!

Bring back Phil. Phil was our favorite…but sadly he left the restaurant as a server a couple of years ago and while he never made the food…it hasn’t been the same since. This was always a staple for my husband and I. A place where we knew we could never get a bad meal. It hurts me to say that the last couple of visits have been very disappointing – from the environment (too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter) to the service and food; we’ve felt betrayed. We’ll remember you fondly, Pizzico but are going to politely bow out before it gets any worse. (But let us know if you find a way to bring back Phil…)

Lovely Pumpkin Ravioli. I went to Pizzico with two of my friends for lunch on one of their birthdays. The birthday girl and I both had the pumpkin ravioli, which were absolutely outstanding. With some pumpkin ravioli, the sauce is so strong that it overpowers the flavor of the pumpkin – not this one. The cream sauce was a little lighter than the usual, which really let the softness of the pumpkin shine through. Yum.The wait staff, however, were a little inattentive and our lunch took well over an hour. Having been there before, I can say that this is not the norm, so maybe it was just a lunch thing, though the place was far from full.

A hidden gem in Providence. If you’re going to find this place, it’s usually because someone you know has pointed it out to you. Sure, it’s on Hope Street, so it’s not exactly hidden, but even a slow stroll by the front of the restaurant doesn’t reveal what you will find within. It’s a casual upscale atmosphere decorated with local artwork, and warm colors. The space is limited and the staff is friendly. All of this, however, is overshadowed by the creativity displayed in the pages of the menu. The food is exquisite (with a pretty good wine list to match it). Pizzico is still one of my favorite restaurants in the Northeast. It’s a gem in that it’s unexpected in that particular location. A visit to Pizzico won’t dissapoint. It’s easily one of the best restaurants in Providence without the pomp and circumstance.
