Awesome staff!. I was there last sunday and Saimon was just awesome, he rectified a little accident with the bread right away and gave me the friendliest service ever!Pastry is excellent!
Great coffee (some) miserable staff. The drink I ordered came with less steamed milk than it does in other (read: Starbucks) shops. I waited 20 minutes for this simple drink and when I asked the woman making it (short, blonde hair and just a miserable person) why there was so little steamed milk she said that this was the proper amount, I should order extra if I want it, and she could add more milk but it would take a while. I took the drink as it was and really hope the management sees this review. Having someone who is not suited for customer service is a disaster in the making. How many more people has this beast put off with her attitude?
Coffee, sandwiches and best of all fresh squeeze OJ love this place
Yum. I’ve tried many things here. Favorites include ham & cheese croissants, moist lemon cake, and muffins. I can’t speak for the coffee, but I had good tea there.
Lovely stars. I love mutliple things, their rasberry bar, their maple pecan roll- the best I’ve had in my life so far- their amazing fluffy multigrain bread and of course their fair trade coffee.
Love, Love, Love!. I’ve been a Seven Stars loyalist from my first trip there three years ago. It all started with their iced coffee, which is affordable, smooth, and comes with coffee ice cubes – what’s not to love about that?! The iced coffee proved to be a gateway addiction as it eventually lead to pastries, loaves of bread, and sandwiches – all of which are irresistible and delicious! If you’re thinking about going there and haven’t been yet, here are few items I recommend trying…-Chocolate banana muffins (available on Tues. and Sat.) hit the spot for this chocoholic! -Ginger biscuit. Delicious. -lemon cake; lemon flavor is good and not too overpowering. -Biscotti – there are a few different varieties, and you can’t go wrong with any of them! Pairs great with a hot coffee or other hot caffeinated beverage of choice! -The coffee. It’s locally roasted and quite satisfying. Depending on how busy they are, you may find yourself waiting a bit longer for an espresso beverage but trust me, it’s worth the wait! -Last but not least, the pecan sticky bun! I feel as though it doesn’t need an explanation as just looking at it through the glass will sell you!
Done with it. Seven Stars is great and bad at the same time. It is a victim of it’s own popularity in a way. To stop in and get loaf of olive or raisin bread to go – it’s perfect!.But to get there at 8:30 in the morning – which is peak time – order any kind of espresso bar drink, wait in line for a good 10 minujtes for what you expect will be wonderful – only to find that they didn’t make yours, don’t apologize when they do, and kind of do a crappy job of making it – is not so great.. When you stand there watching them make espresso drinks for 10 minutes you realize there are some people who work there who do it consistently the same right way every time, and some (like the one I had this morning) who don’t – and don’t really care. I actually tossed out my $5 (when you add the $1+ tip I always leave) latte as I left. That’s the third time that has happened to me in the last two months. It’s less convenient for me, but I’ll go to the one in (xxxxxxx) from now on when I have the time – until that one becomes a morning mob scene as well. The Hope St location is done for me. I have no more hope that they will get it right.-gary
