Cool coffee shop. The pastries are of great variety and they are delicious. The ambiance is great. Young and eclectic place, so are the employees. There are sandwiches and bagels, and a large selection of hot and cold drinks. I highly recommend this place. I wish it stayed open longer.
Dark and Eclectic White Electric. White Electric is THE cornerstone hipster cafe of Providence. They have very strong and smooth coffee, great bagels, and the best deal on iced coffee and coffee refills in general. Imagine a nice dark and rich iced coffee not watered down by too much ice for only $3 and a half price refill. You will be juiced all afternoon on one and getting the refill is like being on steroids. Other cafes in Providence are good for different reasons. The White Electric is a superior spot to relax and read and hang with a great concentration of west siders that in my opinion beats the overcrowded and inexplicably tense scene at Coffee Exchange. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Exchange just fine, but for every Apple logo on Wickenden, there is a tattoo and piercing to balance the universe on Westminster. If you can tollerate winter hats in the summer time, you will enjoy yourself at the White Electric.

Great Coffee Place. White Electric has very good coffee & espresso drinks. The baked goods may not be made on site, but they are fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. My favorite choice is a cup of coffee and an Apricot Scone. If you like to read, as I do, White Electric has a shelf full of used books for sale by the wonderful book store located just 2 doors down. Titles include such classics as Catch-22, Jitterbug Perfume, and The Painted Bird. The atmosphere is fun & inviting- it’s a nice change from the scores of chain coffee houses. It’s the perfect place to fiddle on your laptop, read alone, or catch up with an old friend.
