Great place to eat and hang out with great people. Food is very Good!!! My wife and I have never had a bad meal here. Do yourself a favor and try it
If you think The Iron horse is just a biker bar you are wrong. Just a bar that bikers go to. The food is always great and plenty of it. The prices are fair and the owners and wait staff are great. Do your self a favor and ride on down to the Iron Iron horse you won’t be disappointed
The best omelet I had in a long time. Brunch at the Iron Horse is great.
Soup!. A few weeks ago I was at O’Charlie’s and had the soup and salad. It was cold that week so soup seemed liked a really good idea. Wrong! It was awful! Reminded me….of cafeteria soup… too salty… tasteless… gross…. OK, so I am a trooper…. tried soup number two… double gross… will NOT order that again. So… a week later I go to the Iron Horse and Deborah says that she has some new soups and that they are good. Once again, I am really craving some good soup. The kind that I don’t have to make myself with my own shrimp or crab stock. Don’t have anymore stock in the freezer so it is not going to happen. Well… I had the potato soup. Yep. Came in a cute little crock on a napkin on a plate. I am impressed…. this is a bar and it has already surpassed O’Charlie’s on presentation alone. Took a spoonfull. Stopped talking and did not say a word until it was gone. I mean completely gone… darn near licked the bowl. It was that good. A week later, in the bar again but eating near the stage. Ordered the She Crab soup. Oh…. my…goodness… it was great too! Stopped talking again except this time there I was yum yumming out loud! It is really that good. I was at Hudson’s on Hilton Head two days ago. (This is what prompted this review) Now I even have Hudson’s cookbook. Yep. Shrimp and grits with gravy made with some of that yummy shrimp stock. I love to cook and I love to eat so I am pretty picky about what I eat that other people cook. The She Crab soup that I had at Hudson’s was very similar to the Iron Horse soup! I was stunned… the quality was the same! Loads of crabmeat…excellent texture and flavor! Now when I go to the Iron Horse it will be steak AND soup!24 Sep, 2011Excellent Steaks!. I love the NY Strip with a baked potato and side salad. The steak was medium rare and absolutely delicious! I could have used a butter knife to cut the steak, it was that tender and full of flavor. I have NEVER had to ask for steak sauce at the Iron Horse. The salads are very nice too and I love the Fat Free Tomato with Basil dressing, always on the side so you use only what you want. Excellent staff and recently upgraded facilities. Sunday afternoons with the live bands outside makes this the place to be for a relaxing afternoon on the bike or in a vehicle! They also have the best Prime Rib in the CSRA! No kidding! Large portions served au jus and available on the weekends only. Sometimes they sell out of the Prime Rib but no worries, if you come for great steaks you can always get a great steak at the Iron Horse!
The best Aiken county has.. I have been to most of the restaurant / pub’s in Aiken and Augusta, this place beats them all hands down. The food is excellent 4.5 stars. The Staff would have to receive 5 stars. Superior service. The place is always clean and friendly. I used to spend 3 to 4 nights a week downtown Augusta until I found this place now only 1 just to see friends that refuse to try new places, their loss! If you have not been there you need to go I promise you will be back often.
FAB-U-LICIOUS!. I just can’t say enough about the Ironhorse! The food is great…the staff and patrons are the coolest people that you will ever meet…so down to earth and friendly! I have never had a meal there that wasn’t any thing less that awesome! You never know what story you are going to hear…or what song will be played on the jukebox! If you have never been…I highly recommend a visit! You will not be disappointed. While you are there…be sure to try one of Paul’s potent potables! NOT FOR THE LIGHT WEIGHT DRINKER!!! But oooooh sooooo good!
Best food. Most friendly staff….. love the singing bartenders. This group makes a true effort to give each patron an excellent experience.. That’s pretty rare…. Can’t find that in downtown Aiken They care!
