This was one of those where I needed a ‘kinda liked it’ button. So, for starters, didn’t have the most helpful, knowledgeable waitress, which was a little frustrating. My Caesar salad wasn’t very good, the dressing had very little to no taste. My food came out luke warm (I had the salmon) but I will say it was great. Never had falafels, but they were good. The mashed potatoes were great too, the coleslaw, not so much. My friend had the filet, which she said was fabulous, and like 4 grape sized potatoes. I posted a picture, but how silly it looked on that huge plate is indescribable. The deep fried brownies were good too, but you only get two small brownie balls on one order. There was more mousse than brownies. Perhaps this place is/was too uppity for me, but for what I paid for the meal, I expected just a little more.

Great first experience. I had my anniversary at the Wilcox. It was our first time, although we must have driven past the place dozens of times. The food and service was great and so was the live music that played while we were eating. Our server was very kind and polite and was not all over us, nor was the server away for too long. The menu is not too big or small, and is very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. I ordered the 12oz NY strip steak and it was one of, if not the best steak I have ever eaten. We will definitely be going back to the Wilcox to try brunch and lunch and of course dinner again.

Best meal in a long time. Hotel restaurants are not usually the best food however, i have just found the exception with The Wilcox in Aiken, Soth Carolina. The food was exceptional! Since i was dining with my family I tasted a little of everyones meal. The steak was done to perfection, the bone marrow appetizer was new to me and a wonderful culinary suprise. The flounder on a whipped cauliflower puree was incredible and believe it or not one of the best hamburgers I have ever tasted It was worth the trip to Aiken.

Big city quality in small town. We stayed at The Willcox last month and could not believe the restaurant. Love the menu, love the atmosphere, love that I can eat in front of the fire, by the pool, in the dining room… favourite dishes… salmon, caesar salad and pate

Chopped Salad with House Smoked Salmon. Both the salad and the kitchen smoked (chunky bits) of salmon are amazing.. Also try the Eggs Benedict with this same home smoked salmon for Sunday Brunch.. Pair with great Wines and Champagne -best selection in Aiken in my opinion. The chopped salad has many tasty veg. ingredients not seen elsewhere locally.
