I took guests from out of town. The service was friendly and fast, as we pre-ordered our meals. Very good choices with some local farms supplying fresh cheese and veggies. Unique atmosphere within one of Aiken’s estate properties.
First/last dining experience.. Hard to find location, had to call and have a waitress flag us down. Nice ambiance, but we were the only diners for the dinner hour. Food looked great, but small portions. My wife’s scallops were under cooked…the manager stated all seafood here is under cooked. Sent back…same pieces returned a bit warmer, but not what she expected. The menu is pricey. Don’t expect to walk out feeling satiated. Will take this location off of our list of places to eat in Aiken.
Wonderful food and service, one of Aiken’s gems
Another Review. OK, this is my 2nd review. We ate at Rose Hill in January 2012 and then, I entertained on two (2) separate evenings during Masters Week 2012 (last week). This restaurant is a true sleeping gem; I was able to get reservations quickly — even during the busiest week of the year. On both visits the staff was outstanding, the food terrific and the drinks were awesome. On Saturday evening, we dined across from a Member of Augusta National and his party. I had one guest for dinner and two guests (that I had not seen for 34 years) that joined us for drinks afterwards. All were equally impressed with the food, the drink, the quality of the service and the price. Comparing our experience at RHE to another ‘white table cloth’ restuarant in Aiken on Wednesday (where I entertained 3 guests for dinner) — there is no comparision. RHE, in all respects, is the best environment and value in Town.03 Jun, 2011What a find in Aiken. Our first visit to Rose Hill Estate was during one of the busiest weeks of the year – Masters Week. The four of us, each with different tastes in food and drink had an extraordinary dinner. The service was terrific, the food was outstanding. One of the owners makes the rounds to each table to ensure that guest are enjoying a quality experience and to answer any questions about the history of the buildings. We can’t wait to enjoy the outdoor dining area. Music entertains on Thursday evenings.
The best food, environment, and staff!. So I have been to Rose Hill a few times, usually for a nice glass of wine, my last time at this fine establishment I decided to try some of their food. I had one of the most amazing dishes I’ve ever eaten in and with a great glass of wine. Yes, they are a bit pricier then some restaurants but I think highly worth a good night out if your looking for a place for great food, a nice cozy environment and an excellent staff!!!
