Not bad but not great. Stopped here on the way back after hitting the beach on Hunting Island and we liked the food but it was not great. The flounder sandwich was tasty but the piece of fish was so small. The shrimp soup was gumbo like and pretty tasty. Key lime pie had a good tang. Worth stopping by if you are hungry after leaving the beach but I would not go out of my way to eat here.
I have been eating here for more than 18 years It seems that the shrimp burgers have become more bun than shrimp within the past couple of years.
Our family loved the Shrimp Shack!! We saw the fresh seafood being delivered from Gay Fish Co. next door. The Shrimp Burger was amazing. Never had one made purely of shrimp no bready filler. Truly a hidden gem!
Tasteless. My wife and I stopped there for lunch yesterday. Bland tasteless frozen sea food. Being on an island known for fresh sea food it’s criminal to try to pass frozen off as fresh.
Take it from a local of 25 years, this is the best local seafood you can get..and guess what everything better fried!
Hope you like batter. All the prior reviews raved about the shrimp burger and flounder sandwich. Save your money (and arteries) and move on somewhere else for some decent tasting seafood.
