Superb food!. An unassuming kid-friendly place favored by locals. I ordered the shrimp and scallop platter and it was simply and expertly prepared. Mac and cheese and corn-on-the-cob to die for! And the hush puppies!!! Reasonably priced and a true Carolina eatery…go there!
Not very good service. So it wasn’t even busy and our waitress took a half hour after we ate our appetizer to take our order. We had to ask another waitress to get out drinks refilled. it took another 45 min to get our meal out and when I say it wasn’t busy there were only 4 other families in the restaurant. if we wanted any drinks refilled we would have to wave down our waitress. the fish was over cooked, small portions, and overpriced. The only thing actually was good was the fried shrimp, fried oysters, and hush puppies. I’ve never left a negative review before but if the place is not busy it shouldn’t be hard to at least refill drinks. maybe she was having an off day but I did read reviews of the service guessing they were right
Excellent seafood. We ate here twice during our stay at Hilton Head. The oysters, scallops and shrimps are excellent. Hush puppies were the best we have had yet. We also liked the Corvina and Cobia fish suggested by our waiter. Great food, good people … overall excellent!!!

Must Eat Here. We have been several times in the last 2 stays in Hilton Head. This restaurant has a casual, family feel and serves the best gumbo, seafood, mac and cheese anywhere. Even the Caesar salad is fabulous. You would be remiss not to eat here when you are in the area. My husband shucked and ate a whole FULL bucket of steamed oysters…..by himself. When you see the size of the bucket, you’ll be amazed.
Our family drove from our home in Savannah to find good Bluffton oysters. We enjoyed their steamed oysters and fried oysters. We left happy after our oyster fix! We will return for their oysters!
Traveled up the road from Hilton Head on a recommendation, was ready to order and then advised that they had just made a management decision to charge $4.00 a plate to share. Sorry, but that’s ridiculous. I refuse to pay a per plate share charge at any restaurant, period. Too bad…
