Friendly staff, good food. Visited Stooges this week with friends and enjoyed the breakfast so much we went back a second day. We tried the omelets, quiche, corned beef hash, and french toast and enjoyed them all. Our server was friendly and took good care of us; she also alerted us to events going on around Bluffton. It seemed a clean and happy place. I’ll go back.
Breakfast. Had breakfast at Stooges today. FABULOUS! All the food came out piping hot, presented beautiful and tasted great. The grits were buttery and creamy, The Fried Green tomatoes were excellent! Eggs were cooked as we all ordered them and the fruit was fresh and nice portion. Go get some good breakfast ASAP at Stooges.
It was awful!! I ordered my eggs over-medium but they were runny, hash brown was burnt, bacon was burned (the server said some people want them crispy – um, there’s a huge difference between burnt and crisp), toasts were cold, and top it all off the plate was NASTY – the rim had greasy fingerprints all over it. My fianc ordered biscuits and gravy, they were okay but there was absolutely no thoughts put in as far as presentation goes – just a glob of brown stuff ladled over split biscuits. When we told the server about all this, she apologized and said she’d tell the kitchen, but just put the bill down and left – no going and getting a manager or offering to remedy the situation. We told the manager on the way out, he profusely apologized and took care of the bill for us, but I wasn’t about to pay $6 for a piece of toast!! We won’t be coming back….!
Atmosphere was good and wasn’t packed. Ate breakfast here and it was eh..so so. I ordered the Stevie’s and my hashbrowns were burnt. Server took forever to top off my hot tea. My BF’s ordered the Venomous plate and chorizo failed to provide the spice and flavor. Server was subpar and simply placed our ticket on our table and didn’t ask if we wanted anything more. $20.74 for 2 plates, OJ and hot tea.
