Love, love the Cottage. Nice place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can’t say anything bad, just love going to The Cottage. Sitting outside and eating and watch the people go by. See people that you know. Such a nice place.

Food is pretty darn good. I just miss the delicious lobster roll. Service is great and staff is awesome. I absolutely love their brunch and lunch. Best sweet tea around as well.

Accompanied by our friends from Boston, we made our annual pilgrimage to The Cottage. Promptly greeted by knowledgeable staff, we were told of all the chef’s specials. The standard dinner menu is excellent, however the temptation of the specials is usually hard to resist………and they are creative. You won’t have to be concerned about portion size. Think about how you much you get when you eat at mama’s place. The setting is relaxing – we usually request a table on the covered porch that fronts the restaurant. I’d recommend this especially on a warm summer night. For apps we had:- The Cottage’s version of fried green tomatoes is amazing. Breaded tomatoes, fried and smothered with a creamy tomato sauce, then topped off with shrimp. They are ridiculously good.- a cheese plate (shredded parm with blue cheese) with real local honeycomb. When was the last time you had real honeycomb?- Mediterranean shrimp. Check.- Almond crusted baked brie. Check.Mains:The ladies had the flounder and halibut while the men had meat dishes; The French Strip Tease and the appropriately named ‘Tower of Power’ that was a dinner special.I believe the Tower of Power deserves it’s own place in this review. I was in disbelief when our waiter described the dish. I was in further disbelief that I actually ate the whole meal. The Tower of Power is a stacked meal. From bottom to top: corn bread, crab cake, strip steak all topped off with more crab meat and smothered in hollandaise. It comes with delicious mashed potatoes and a plate of greens. My wife laughed as she commented that my meal was the only one that came served on three plates. Eating all that food was mind blowing. I felt like I ran a marathon. Either that or time travel. Joking aside, it tasted was great and I’m glad I took a leap of faith and ordered it.The Cottage is a great place and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Had lunch at The Cottage this week for the first time in months. I sat on the porch with a group of four and we had a great time. Our server was attentive and our orders came out quickly, which we appreciated because we had to return to work. I got the Warm Green Goddess again and it was as excellent once again. Two members of my group ordered different pot pies and enjoyed them a lot. One member of my group shared that they did not like the shrimp and grits which I have had before and also did not like, though I am a big fan of shrimp and grits in general.

Great!. I have been here twice with my Hilton Head vacation gang and it has been great twice for breakfast. The owner/chef serves large portions of items made from scratch and fresh ingredients. The shrimp&grits and corned beef hash are some of the best I have had. Historic Bluffton is also nice to walk around – neat things to see and do.

Nichole is the worst waitress alive!!. Service was horrible!! Nichole was a hot mess!! She was more worried about her cell phone then her tables!! Then she dissapiered only to pop up around the side of the resturant smoking a cig. and complaining about how broke she is and doesnt make any money here!! I wonder why!! Not!!
