Saddened by the passing of the owner, John Briody, who was a long time friend. Happy that the restaurant is continuing on with the samechef and staff. Great menu, food and service.
Several months ago, after a wedding weekend at Palmetto Bluff, my family dined here for Sunday brunch. Everything was fantastic! We were plate swapping and trying what everyone ordered. So, while waiting for an automobile repair, I decided to stop in for a weekday lunch. I ordered their signature Walnuts sandwich which is turkey, Brie and pear. So yummy and flavorful! You’ll need several napkins as it’s a bit messy! It was voted Best of Bluffton, Best Signature Sandwich, and I can taste why it was chosen! Additionally, my side was homemade chips – crunchy and delicious! The frosting on the cake is their wonderful service and delightful staff! I have zero negatives to report, so it’s a 5.0!
Food ok – service abominable. Met friends for dinner – they had been there for lunch but not dinner. We hadn’t been there. Had a reservation and there were empty tables when we arrived but it took a half hour to be seated. We were ignored and then when we asked to be seated we were told they were busy and would seat us when they got the chance. Once we were seated we were ignored and had to flag down someone zooming past without looking at us in order to order drinks, to order food, to ask for our checks, and to ask someone to pick up our checks. Food was ok but nothing special. Worst service I’ve ever had in any place, in any state or any country.
Slow service especially once done and needing to leave. No kids menu. Not family friendly.
I have eaten breakfast at walnuts several times and recently tried lunch. I have never had a bad meal or service at this restaurant.
Best French toast in the land for sure!!!
Had to wait to get seated even though there was an open table, and had to wait 10 minutes for a server to NOT show up so we just got up and left. We have gone here a couple of times and the food is slightly unique but for the most part standard. Every time we have dined here I can say the service is sub par. From not getting my drink refilled ever to having a waitress full of weird excuses for her inept skills, and today not even getting a chance to give them my business I think Walnads needs to do some reevaluation. Will not be going back.
