Amazing selection of beer and great food. The place to go to relax and grab a drink and some food. Bartenders will help you choose the perfect beer. Sushi is a must try and the monk burger is the best on the beach!!

Love everything about this place! Great service, great beer, great atmosphere. Mango habenero smoked wings were amazing. We will be back again very soon 🙂

They hosted a fundraiser for my daughters gymnastics team and it was amazing! Ordered sushi and it was better than I expected at what looks like a brew pub! My drinks were good. My only gripe is I was seated at a high top table by the video games without being asked if it was ok… I would have much preferred to wait for a real table but before I could even say that the hostess walked away… But will be returning when we have company in town to try the burgers

A great place for everyone from families to a night out with friends. Huge selection of draft beers (48) and a well thought out menu The Grumpy Monk is an excellent addition to the Myrtle Beach area. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgable and the food is top notch. The menu offers a bit of variety for all and is made in-house. It is a must try for all!

Vacation Destination. A group of friends and me drove to Myrtle Beach from Charlotte to get away for the weekend and we decided to stop in at the restaurant as we were sitting in traffic on Highway 501 at it was happy hour. We must have had every item on the happy hour menu. I really enjoyed the crab legs and the $3 wine! Anyone looking for a fun, social place with good food and drinks…this is it!

Sam Adams Tap Takeover!!. I stopped by the Grumpy Monk last night as I heard they were running a special event with Sam Adams beer. I had never been before but wanted to give it a go since I love craft beer. They had a number of rare beers by Sam Adams that I had never seen before as well as many other drafts. I had the wings and they were great! I will be back!!

Unless you’re here to drink, don’t bother. Been here twice and we’re not impressed with the food at all. The wings had a good flavor, but we’ve had better and at a better price elsewhere. Tried the sushi to find all three rolls soggy and lacking texture, balance, and anything else one would desire in good sushi and again, too expensive. The wait staff was fine, but we didn’t require much service.
